Hello all! Today concluded our first week of ministry here in Johannesburg, South Africa! My squad and I are working with Impact Africa here. Impact Africa’s mission is to “motivate, educate, disciple and provoke individuals toward a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ through socially relevant outlets of ministry service; which in turn deeply impact individuals, communities, and nations.”
They have been amazing Ministry hosts so far! This week has consisted of 3 days of evangelism in the local townships. We, as a team, have been able to speak to hundreds of people and have seen 5 salvations! Five souls raised from death to life!
Praise God!
Today we went to a local school to speak in classrooms about potential. We taught on how we can find our true identity in Christ through the gospel, allowing us to reach our full potential once we have found our identity in Christ!
This week, God has taught me many things. One of them being learning how to be more thankful for the things that I have! God has taught me that there is so much power in the name of Jesus. This is the name that heals the sick, welcomes the outcast, raises the dead, and so much more!
He is so mighty! He has reminded me of His glory throughout this week especially as my team and I headed into ministry. One thing that I have been reminded of to be thankful for is clean water. I think that is one thing me, and many other Americans, take for granted that much of the world does not have access to.
Thank you all for the support and the prayers. Glory to God forever!
2 Corinthians 2:14-17
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.
